Compressor will only runs for 10-15 sec. then will cycle after30-40 sec. This continues till power is shut off. Coils are clean an fan is running. Is the PTC relay gone bad?

Could be, take off the PTC and shake it, if it's noisy it's bad, if not we'll go from there

Abadfish66 I don't hear a rattle how ever it looks like something has dripped down from above It may have been water condensation mixed with dust. It appears to have entered the relay box. Is there a way to test unit with it out of fridge.
Thanks for your time.

Do you have a meter?, if so check resistance of ptc should be somewhere around 10-12 ohms. If that checks ok, check resistance of compressor windings. common to run, common to start, and run to start, post your findings...If you don't know how to do this, I'll guide you along
