My icemaker has quit. The supply line was blocked at the shutoff valve. I cleaned it out and am getting water to the water valve on the back of refrigerator. We used to get hollow cubes and water freezing in collection tray for cubes. I have gotten a few very small (like 1/4 size) cubes out of machine after cleaning supply line entry. This fridge has been very reliable and I have had to replace water valve once before, but it didn't act like this. HELP! with summer coming on we need ice

Most likely the problem is a clogged screen in the water inlet valve and probably this water inlet valve needs to be replaced.
I'm not able to provide more accurate advise due to the model number you posted does not come up.

One of most common cause for hollow ice cubes is insufficient amount of water. Did you buy the fridge with the ice maker or it was installed later? The break down diagrams for this model does not show any ice maker nor a water valve. Here are the break down diagrams for the Hotpoint refrigerator Model CTX18GJBRGene.

I purchased it with the icemaker from the factory. The cubes are good size but some are hollow. Also the tray seems to have water in it and the cubes stick together and freeze. It almost seems as if the cubes get ejected from maker before they freeze enough

Does it have the green LED?
If it does not then remove the front cover and look for the adjustment screw. Turn it about 1/2 turn CCW to increase amount of water.
