I have a Kitchenaid Ceran glass cooktop that I need to replace. I just ordered the part but can't find instructions on how it's done. Can you help with detailed instructions? The old one has cracked almost from one end to the other at this point. If I continue to use it, am I risking frying the wiring?

One last note -- I ordered Part No. AP3081975 fom your site since it's the one that matches my Model Number, but the diagram doesn't look exactly like mine. The burners ae a bit different. Did I order the correct model ? I got the number off bottom of unit and I bought it brand new.

Help!!

This should help with the install

If you wanted white then you ordered the correct part number.
I cannot say if you received the correct part.
Note that I do not work for AppliancePartsPros so have no way of confirming things.

Denman....thanks for helping! Unfortunately that link was for a different model. The cooktop I'm trying to work on is a solid-surface glass cooktop with downdraft. The glass is broken and I'd like to look at the repair manual before taking the thing apart.

Thanks a lot!

Sorry but that is the only one I could find, note that it does cover some ceramic top units though they are not shown on the first page.

Tho only other one I have is for an electronic touch ceramic top.

Denman....thanks! That link was helpful. Although it doesn't cover my specific model it appears that removing the glass is pretty much the same after reading both repair manuals that you've kindly posted. Thanks again!
