If you are getting Ice out of the door, the switch is good. What I would do is take the bottom grill panel off the refrigerator front, and you will see close to the hinge a quick connect fitting. push in on the colored tab, and then pull out the hose. Then ask for water and see if any shoots out the hose. If so the water is frozen in the door, and the controls are set to cold. If you do not get water there, then what I want you to do is unplug the refrigerator, and take out the screws that hold the water valve in place, that is the valve that the incomming water line is coming to. So, once the screws are out, pull the valve out a little, and I want you to unscrew the plastic hose that leads to water dispenser. It is easy to distinquish, because the other hose goes right up to the icemaker. So, once you do that, put the valve in a pan, and then plug in the refrigerator. Go around to the front, and ask for water at the dispenser, and if water comes out of the valve in the pan, inside the refrigerator, behind the crispers, there is water tank, and it is frozen, get the blow dryer, heat it up, turn the controls down, done!! If no water comes out, replace the water valve. There you have it. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
