 We recently purchased a used Kenmore refrigerator. The refrigerator was working great. The cardboard back fell off while we were moving the refrigerator into the house. When I put the cardboard back on, I didn't realize it was flipped the wrong way. This cause the compressor to over heat and made the breaker jump in the breaker box. This took about 5 minutes from when first plugged it in. I remove the cardboard back and noticed how hot the compressor was. After that, I let the refrigerator cool down over night and it would not work the next morning. Everything works on the refrigerator; fans, lights. The compressor wouldn't click on , so I replaced the start kit capacitor, which now I hear a very light clicking noise. Is there anything that I've might have over looked that needs to be reset?

Remove the wires from the compressor (draw a picture of them for yourself first) and check for continuity across every pair of the terminals and the terminals to ground. Post the results.
Gene.
