I have a Kenmore model 110 62942100 that started off not staying on after the push to start switch was pressed. I actually had another switch to try and of course that was not it.
I read that the relay next to it may be the problem and since it was so cheap, I tried it. Still no luck.
Could this be the timer causing my problem?

I found that reversing the wores on the switch made the dryer turn on when I turned the timer knob, but it eventually stops again.......Help??

Most likely the problem is a bad electronic board (#6 on the diagram).

- The electronic board Part number: AP4319168
Part number: AP4319168

I just pulled the circuit board out and sure enough, I can see where there is a resistor (R2) that is fried which means that something else must have gone out on the board to pull that much current to overheat it that badly. Is there much chance that there would be anything else off of this board that would have caused this?
I hate to buy a new board only to have it go out again or to then have to replace something else.

Thanks........ Jim

Jim,

I do not think that anything else has to be replaced at this time. Such problem with the Even Heat Control board is pretty common.
