While I was changing a light bulb, I saw a spark and now the microwave won't work, the display panel is all gibberish, and the exhaust fan won't stop running. I unplugged the unit to let it cool down, but an hour later the same thing. The next morning the fan was still running and the microwave wont work. I tried to see if it was working, so i put some water in a mug and turned the power on, but after I opened the door the countdown continued on the display, but the turntable was not working, nor was the inside light. The fan, however, ran the whole time. Any ideas?

It looks as though you blew the control board. I would unplug it over night so the control board might reset itself. I don't know of any reset reset for it. It might be like your enging light for your car, if you discinnect the battery over night it in my case goes out.

I just don't know. I unplugged the microwave overnight and it still doesn't reset or work. I keep hearing about a magnetron that breaks down in this particular model. Does anyone know if this could be the problem? The microwave is barely three years old. A great big thank you to anyone that can help me fix this.
