The washere spins slowly in the spin cycle then it will disengage and start spinning again. the clothes are still very much wet at the end of the cycle.

I would pull the front panel off, shine a light in the spin basket, and look for something stuck in the tub. If ok, I would tilt the washer back, remove the belt, and turn the tranny pulley in the spin direction. If hard to turn, you need to replace the pulley and thrust washers, comes as a kit AP4009132.
