I bought a beer fridge for the garage, and when I plug it in, it trips my GFI. I only have that plugged in, so I know it isn't the circuit. When I unplug the compressor, the light and fans work. Is the compressor bad, or could it be something else?

Just a suggestion. When I tried to run my compressor on a GFI circuit it blew everytime. The current it takes to initally start the compressor draws too much current. I run it on a different circuit for lighting w/o GFI protection and it works fine. May want to try a different circuit with proper breaker amperage for the appliance you wish to run. Hope it helps.
