Well i bought a used fridge with a warantee but i want to make sure i have my ducks in a row. From what i have found im pretty sure one of the valves is bad but i dont know how to test it to make sure and i dont want to wait for him to keep hearing back from "his buddy that knows more about refrigerators"

the actual model number is ed5shaxmb10

put a voltmeter across water valve solenoid plug terminals, set for 120 VAC, actuate the water lever, do you get voltage across terminals? If so, you have a bad water valve. If not, you have an electrical issue starting with the water dispenser control panel.
