The D/W was very noisy the last time it ran but finished the cycle. Several times during the cycle I inspected the interior and drain holes for the source of the noise but found nothing. The unit fills, opens the detergent door and drains fine but does not wash. Also, a very faint "hot electrical" odor seems to come from the sides of the unit where it meets the cabinet opening.
I think the wash motor is toast. Your diagnostic help would be appreciated. Is this problem worth fixing? The D/W has worked flawlessly and nearly whisper quiet for years. Thank you, I_S
