7 year old Kenmore microwave suddenly stopped working, didn't seem to want to turn off. It displays only F6. Should I pay to have it repaired or ust buy a new one?

What is the complete model number?
How much did you pay for this microwave?
Gene.

Check this.... F6 Microwave relay failure 1. Unplug microwave oven or disconnect power.
2. Check wiring to Relay 4903 for short circuits.
3. If wiring is OK, replace electronic control. 4. Plug in microwave oven or reconnect power This is on a Whrilpool microwave, which who made the 665 model you have. Nat

While I was waiting, I took off the panel, found the tech book, and inside it says an F6 is a relay failure. How do I Check wiring to Relay 4903 for short circuits? Where is relay 4903. Sorry, I am a software architect, just trying to learn....

I took off the key panel, found the 4903 relay label on the diagram, but cannot find the relay on the board. Any suggestions?

I took off the panel, found the relay, tightened up the connection, put the panel back on, and Voila! I have a working microwave again, thanks!
