I want to replaced the water valve for the icemaker for the above model. I am not sure which one to order, Is it Water Valve- part# AP4013715 or Valve Secondary Water- Part# AP4013367...

It stop making ice, I thought its the icemaker itself so I ordered a new one
and replaced it. I noticed that the icemaker plastic ice extractor is going down but no water coming out into the tray. I put water manually and indeed it made ice. also I unplug the the fridge over night to see If the water line frozen, plug the fridge back on and still no water coming to the icemaker. Any way the fridge water dispenser works. That is why I want to replace the water valve, do not know which one cause theres 2 water valve at the bottom of the fridge...

I have the same Amana fridge (SXD26VW) and the same problem as described above. I have swapped the wires on the solenoids of the first (primary) water valve and did not get any water out of the hose into the ice maker. I swapped the wires on the solenoids of the secondary water valve (the one located further into the base of the fridge) and I got water out of the tube for the ice maker. I want to confirm, do I just need to replace the seconday water valve?

Amana fridge - Model #SXD26VW

I installed a new secondary water valve and I am still not getting water dispensing into the ice maker.

I swapped the terminals on the primary water valve, pressed the water lever on the door and nothing. I swapped the terminals on the secondary water valve, pressed the water lever on the door and got water out of the hose in the freezer to the ice maker. Note: this is where I was prior to installing the new secondary water valve. I even held a glass under the solenoid (with the hose disconnected) and got water out of the secondary valve when I pressed the lever on the door. So it appears that I am not getting a signal to the secondary valve to distribute water to the ice maker when the gear is at 3:00 (on the ice maker).

I ran several tests on the ice maker prior to testing and ordering the secondary water valve. I installed a paper clip in the side and started it manually (more than once). The voltage was good everywhere except when the gear is at 3:00. I read online that this is when the water should come into the ice tray. I can hear the motor (or solenoid) kick in as if it should be working, but still no water. The directions said to measure for a voltage of 100 - 110 on the ice maker motor itself when the gear is at 3:00. My reading was 99v. I was not sure if this was enough voltage or not. The secondary water valve was a less cost effective fix and seemed to be the problem after I tried the tests that you suggested.

So, my question is, is it the ice maker that needs replaced?

I want to confirm this because it is $106. Is it not working because the secondary water valve is not getting a strong enough voltage signal sent to it from the ice maker to open and distribute the water (when the gear is at 3:00)?
