Hi All -
I have a Whirlpool GU2400XTPB3 dishwasher that has over the years developed a problem with the pump sucking air/cavitating during the wash cycle. If I open the door during the cycle and add around 4 cups of hot water to the tub then the pump goes back to sounding 'normal' (quieter).

Does anyone have any suggestions? I have already tried removing the water line and checking for junk. I only got as far as removing the brass elbow on the bottom of the unit. Is there somewhere else that stuff can accumulate?

Thanks in advance.

Time the fill duration, should be greater than 40 seconds. If ok, I would replace the water fill valve, AP3178610 These valves have a fine screen that gets clogged easily.
