I just purchased a new Danby wine cooler and laid it down on its side to transport it home. I noticed it leaked some fine oil out of the bottom but I can't tell where it leaked from. I'm afraid to plug it in and or turn it on util I find out if I need to add any oil. Thanks.

You might have a leakey evaporator, or leakage from shipping damage to a refrigerant line. Definitely take it back.
