Side by Side appliance had been doing great until the freezer side began to over freeze ( ice on the condensor? - the coils that get cold) and no cold air blows into the refrigerator side, therefore that refrig. does not cool. Have to turn off so the ice can defrost off the coils and then when it is turned on it works until it freezes up again.
At one time the door to the freezer felt very hot. That is no longer happening.
Cleaned fan underneath at back of appliance.

Most likely defrost thermostat is out.
