I am so frustrated. My husband is not a fix it type of guy, and I would like to try to fix our dishwasher. So many of the dishes come out dirty. So, we called out the repairman, and he said it needed to be cleaned under the grate, and possibly replace the filter under the grate. He wanted to charge over $200. I would like to surprise my husband and save a ton of money. I have removed the arm and cleaned it, and now don't know how to remove the rest to get to the grate. And, I won't know how to remove the grate.
Thanks,
cindy

Remove the retaining screw from the back wall that atatches the feed tube to the upper spray arm, then twist off the feed tube that supplied water to it.Then remove torq screws holding down the top of the pump.
Before doing this, verify enough water is entering the dishwasher, should be just below the heater. Also, verify your water temperature is above 130 degrees.
