Sorry about that.
I should have directed you towards the overflow switch.
I must have had my head up my you know what that day.

When I used to do support for other techs, they drove me crazy with missing the obvious. I soon learned to never assume anything even though many of them would get upset with me asking very basic questions.

In this case when you said "so I cleaned out the mess (and what a mess) in the dishwasher", I assumed that included the float assembly which broke my basic rule from years ago.

Again, I apologize for missing the obvious.
Time to give my head a shake and remember what it was like when I actually worked on units so I also have learned something.

I have the same problem; no fill, thus no spinning arms, etc. Where exactly is this float? Is this inside the d/w or under it. Mine is a totally custom install and a BIG PIA to pull out (grinning and grimacing).

There is a float mechanism on the bottom of the dishwasher cleaning area. It was an area I neglected to clean.

The float was stuck in the CLOSED position and therefore didn't let water flow.. =================================
