Washer fills drains fine. When spin cycle starts, motor kicks in and sounds like it is spinning. I manually rotated the drum forward and back and tried it again and it spun out. This worked for a while and it wouldnt not spin every time. Now it wont spin at all, the motor just runs and sounds like it is spinning. It seemed like when I turned the drum by hand, I had to turn it real hard for a rotation or two and then it would free up and move real easy. Now it is a chore to turn it by hand and it wont free up like it would before.

It sounds like you have a bad clutch band. This is a pain to check but if you take the transmission out and look at the part that sits on top you will see the band. You can clamp the springs to remove it, see if it's worn or if there is grease in the clutch housing. Anything that would make it slip would cause the problems you describe.
hope this helps.
