My washer is broken. I have to unplug my GE washer for it to stop. When I plug in the washer it turns on and fills with water. The water does not stop even after it fills to the top. The washer starts spinning when the water is filling up. I did take the part out. The part number is Part Number: AP3191755 Manufacturer's Number: WH12X10202 (175D4232P016) made by GE Do you think all we need is the new "Pull Knob to Start/ Push to Stop" part?:(

Sounds like you may have two problems but we cannot tell until you replace the timer. Try replacing the part you listed which is the timer and see if that fixes things. Hopefully it will solve the fill problem and the problem of spinning when it is not supposed to.
Please post back the results and we will go from there.
