This could get long. Used self-clean, result, inner glass broke 2 days later. Replaced it. Was having trouble getting door to stay and outer door glass broke. Replaced it. Now here's where the fun starts. When I first took the oven door off, the catch at the top of the door came loose. This result was that the oven light stayed on non stop. Not a problem, except I broke the outside door glass trying to put the door back on. The microwave worked fine during this entire ordeal. Yesterday, I put the new stainless door on and reinstalled the door. I also reinstalled the catch. BUT, the oven light remained on, so I started looking and I saw this "pin" sitting below the catch that looked like it should be inserted in a hole right next to the catch. Well, my hands were too big and my wife was able to get the pin out, stick it in the female end of the hole, but the light was still on. So I figured that the pin must insert from the back side, and when the catch closed with the door, the pin would in turn, turn the light off. We tried and tried, but were unsuccessful to get the pin in the back side. During this time, we noticed that the light had gone off, so I said, good, leave it alone. The lights still work when you hit the switch. But I told my wife let's see if this thing works, sure enough, it comes right on, the fan's running, and no heat. So I put a glass of water in the microwave, same thing, fan runs, no heat. So I check the heating elements, and it's getting the right amount of power. I pulled the oven and checked the fuse in the back, it was fine. So I called in a pro. He did the same things I did and says the control panel was fine and he wasn't sure what the pin was for. I still think what's going on has something to do with the catch coming loose and the electrical parts between the top of the over and the bottom of the microwave. Any ideas before I pay the pro $400 to replace the control panel? Thanks,

Jay
