I noticed last week that my dryer would not quit buzzing when the cycle was over. I wiggled the knob and it quit buzzing when I set it on a drying time, but in that setting the element turned on and glowed so I unplugged the dryer. Now the dryer has started overheating and clothes smell when they come out and the top of the dryer gets very hot and i have to unplug it between uses. So basically it is either buzzing nonstop or overheating. :(

You have to have a simple ohmmeter to check the heating element and the timer. Look for the wiring diagram inside the control panel.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for FRIGIDAIRE DEDFL1 Frg(v6) / 27 " Electric Dryer | AppliancePartsPros.com
