How do I open this washer to view internal workings for an intermittant leak I am having? I tried the butter knife (not putty knife) against the clips but the top did not release. Did the butter knife prevent me from pushing the clip far enough? Thanks, John

Two screws at the bottom hold the bottom panel in place. Remove them and rock the panel up and away to remove it. Then you can see the screws that do the same for the upper panel. It comes off the same way.
