My oven element had two bright spots and last night it started arcing, throwing sparks out of the oven. After shutting it off and unplugging it, I looked at the bottom element and see that it is burned through, missing about an inch. I have ordered a new one through you, but am wondering if it might be more than just the element. Is there anything else I should do to be sure it fixes the trouble so I don't burn another one?
To complicate things, the last two digits on my model number are too warn to read.

You probably just got something spilled on the element, causing a hot spot or two. Here's the part number for your bake element. Make sure you unplug the range or turn off the breaker for it while you remove/install the element. There is always 120VAC at one of the terminals. Part number: AP4093085
