A service tech came out from Sears and said the Control Board is bad and he needs to order a new one. The part came to my house today but Sears can't schedule the repair for another week. How difficult is this to replace myself? Where does this part go (it's a L shaped computer board) that just plugs in.

If you do this yourself then expect to void any warranty coming from Sears concerning this part should something go wrong... Even a simple 'zap' from static electricity while handling a control board can cause damage...
