Our dishwasher stopped draining. I have checked the sump basket/screen and it appears pretty clear. Our aerator doesn't appear clogged (from visual inspection). I started a cycle and, once running, pressed reset. I can't hear anything and within about 30 seconds the led display goes off and I guess the system thinks that it's reset. (not sure?). Does it sound like a problem with the pump or relay? Is that hard to get to? Any help or advice is appreciated.
Thanks,
John

The pump is attached to the sump outoet; and just behind and to the left of the motor (as you look from the front of the dishwasher.) You need to determine if there is 120VAC going to the pump during the drain or cancel mode. One way you can test the pump is to disconnect the wire connector and apply 120 volts from a test cord to it and see if it runs. If it does, the problem is probably in the control board.

Before reading your response I tried an experiment. I removed the drain hose from the aerator and put the machine in a cycle and then hit reset. It drained VERY slowly when I held the hose close to the ground. It only drained about 1/4 of a bucket. Does this make a difference in your advice? Could it be a clog of some sort? I have not been able to pull out the sump screen as i'm not sure how it comes out and I'm afraid i'll break it. If you have any ideas, i'm all ears. I can still follow through with the first advise but the machine isn't out of the cabinet so i'm hoping to avoid taking it out unless you think it's necessary. Thanks.

BTW - I submitted this reply once before but didn't see it update so my appologies if it's a duplicate.
