My two year old GE Profile side by side refrigerator is not working properly. The freezer appears not to be working all the time. It will work fine and then for some reason it shuts down and everything will start to thaw. I initially thought the door was left open too long or the temperature was not low enough. This is the fourth time this has happend in five months so I know something is not working properly.
The refrigerator appears to be fine, just the freezer. It gets so warm the ice in the ice tray will start to melt all over the place. The freezer will then kick on and the ice freezes everywhere. Why does the freezer stop working? Any help will be great.

This is very complicated refrigerator with a variable speed compressor and dual evaporators. It needs a special equipments for the proper diagnosis. This is not a job for DIY people.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for General Electric PSC25MSTASS Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.com
