dryer will heat up for about 20 sec. then no heat for 30 sec. then heat for 20 sec. then no heat for 30 sec. then heat for 20 sec. then no heat for 30 sec. it takes 4 times as long to dry a load, it has to be something simple!!!!!

Use a meter to make certain the power at the connection block is not going off and that you are getting 120v on each side continuously while it is running. Then check the heating element (with power off) It may have a break that is activated when it heats up If this all checks out, try replacing the cycling thermostat, this part here. Part number: AP4056454
