Freezer just started to drop in temp. Noticed this by ice cream being soupy but meats still frozen. Temperature dial is max cold. Also noticed that it is not making ice as often. Condensor is too hot too touch (normal?) and fan is not turning unless I spin it. Then it will spin for a while. Any help appreciated!

Quote:... Condenser is too hot too touch (normal?) and fan is not turning unless I spin it... The problem is a bad fan motor. It has to be replaced. Unplug the refrigerator immediately and do not use it until the motor replaced. It can and would damage the compressor. - The condenser fan motor Part number: AP2111368

Thanks Gene. I replaced the condenser fan motor, but the freezer is still too warm. There is a small section of the back panel on the freezer that is iced over. The ice maker seems to be making ice very slowly as well. I dont know what to check next.

How hot on touch is the compressor? Is the condenser clean?
Gene.
