Mothers day emergency (ha ha)

I checked all cycles gentle, regular, and the other one. it allows water in and does go through the washing cycle. Timer stops when it come's to the first drain and just remains at that point. I move the timer to spin and it doesn't do anything.
Any assistance would be appreciated, after looking at the Sunday paper and seeing $$$$.$$ new side loading washing. ANY ASSISTANCE WOULD BE """"GREATLY""""""APPRECIATED!!!!!!!!
I have a ballpien hammer, cresent wrence, pipe wrench, bailing wire and I am standing by......
Thanks You John

You need to check the lid switch.
But first you need some tools.

O1SPORTY

I Just put my fingers under the edge and the switch fell off in my hand. I pulled it a little from the edge and pressed down on it, as it was still hooked up and the washer was in the rinse cycle. It immediately started to drain and spin.
Sorry I didn't answer sooner. I ordered the part and saved A TON.

Good luck

John
