I replaced the tub/seal and bearing on my maytag performa washer last month. The new part silenced the helecopter sound the washer was making during spin cycle. However now there is water slowly dripping out of the bottom portion of the plastic outer tub. It is leaking right where the screws attach the plastic outer tub to the metal base. Any ideas why this might be dripping.. I am thinking the new white gasket is faulty, or possibly it loosened up? Thanks for any help.

This is a very common problem with this model. It is very easy to warp the plastic tub, but difficult in the forum to determine that this is the problem. The "cheap" answer is: Start over with the seal. If the problem persists, you have the option to replace the outer tub, or place the machine out on the curb.
