I'm working on a Bosch Axis dryer that won't heat. I've changed the heater element (including overtemp thermal) and the control board which drives the heater. Gets warm but not hot. I don't have documentation for the dryer. There are 2 temp sensors in dryer but not sure where they are. There are 2 sliding probes that contact the drum. Are these the sensors? I looked up parts at Appliance Parts Pros, and they list a temp thermostat, but I don't know where this is either. Anyone familiar with this model who can lend a hand?

Paul,
Did you clean the heat exchanger (condenser)? It should be cleaned 3-4 times a year.

Hi Gene. Thanks for your reply. No, I haven't cleaned the condenser. Would a dirty condenser prevent the heater from coming on? Also, there is a temp regulator, I believe, mounted somewhere near the dryer door. Would a defective one also prevent the heater from coming on? I see that this sensor plugs directly into X11-2 connector on power module.

I have the bosch next model and the manual reset thermal button in in back attached to the rectangular ductwork per say . you have to take back off to get at it . It is down bottom and its a red button

I also am having trouble with a dryer not heating. After resetting the thermal overload it will work for about a week and then not heat again. The dryer runs, just no heat. Checked continuity of sensors and all read within parameters. Heater elements read within specs and are clean and free of debris. The relays on the control board have dark areas on them where the contacts are but as they all are this way assume it to be normal.

I also noticed that none of the threads for this issue were ever completed. Is there an unresolved issue with this particular unit??

Thanks for the advice about the thermal capicitor.
My Nexxt would not blow hot air at all.
Took off the back and the thermal sensor was triped(red button)
Also the small black cap was filthy.
Cleaned the cap and reset sensor and it is working fine.
Also took the opportunity to clean everything inside .
How often is this a permanent fix. What causes the sensor to trip if the outside of cap is dirty?
Are there any other cleaning or maintainance tipe we can also look at from time to time.

Back in January I fixed my Bosh Nexxt dryer with your help.
I cleaned the black capacitor and reset the thermal heat sensor.
Well 5 months later it stopped again and again the fuse needs resetting. Should I replace both the cap and sensor or is there a bigger problem to look at. Everything seems clean.

Any help on this one....no replies for a week now. Reset the button but stopped after a few minutes.....how can I check the thermal capacitor. Unit is clean
