Here's hoping someone can help. My dishwasher was running fine until we moved and it went in a shed for 11months. Now it is reinstalled but will not fill with water. I opened the side and rinsed out all the pipe bits which appeared to resolve it as when I put it on a rinse cyle it did everything it should. But the next time I tried it it wouldn't fill again. The pipe bits seem to be clear so the only other bit is the red float at the bottom but it will move if you manually do it with no bother. Its as if it doesn't know when to move to let the water in.Once you manually move it then water flows in fine. Any ideas please?
Thanks Kes

Kes,
The first failure suspect in such situation is always a water inlet valve. Check if there is 120 VAC to the water valve while the control calls for water fill. If there is proper voltage, replace the water valve.
If you need the correct part number, post the complete model number of the dishwasher.
Gene.
