wiring for 3 wire cord replacement cord doesn"t show colors .

The 3 wire dryer cord usually does not. The middle string is the neutral, the two outside are "hot" and it does not matter on which side they go.

Be sure to have the ground connected correctly and use a strain relief on the cord.

If you have any doubts get some qualified help, or post your model number and we may be able to get you a diagram of how it goes on.

What colors do you have?

White = Neutral = center connector on the terminal strip
Red = L1 = 120 volts = either left or right on terminal strip
Black = L2 = 120 volts = either left or right on terminal strip

Also when hooking up a 3 wire cord be sure to check that the center connector on the unit's terminal strip has a grounding strap to the frame.
