This morning, this side-by-side Kenmore 363.9532710 refrigerator started to make a buzzing sound. A mechanic's stethoscope shows me that the sound is coming from inside the freezer door just above the water and ice dispenser, it seems. If I open the freezer door, the buzzing immediately stops. When I close the freezer door, the buzzing immediately starts up again. If I hold the freezer door open and with a finger push in the white plastic actuator of the switch located at the bottom of the door, I get the same effect. In other words, the buzzing sound is coming from something electrical that is only in circuit when this switch is closed. The switch has three wires going to it; I presume that this switch must turn on the light in the freezer compartment, so that would account for two of the three wires. The switch must also activate something else: the thing that has started buzzing.

The ice water dispenser in the freezer door is working normally.
The ice maker is turned off - it is not the source of the buzzing. The refrigerator is working OK otherwise - the compressor and fans are running as normal.
