I am installing a new Bi-metal defrost therm. Can I use wire nuts or a butt conecter, or does it need to be soldered to the old leads?

I've always used wire nuts when replacing the Bi-metals but just make sure you position them just right so vibration from the fridge wont cause the wire nuts to make any rattling noises or anything
