We have a GE GSM1800J00WW dishwasher -or GSM1800JWW
The problem - when we start the machine no water enters the wash bay. In addition I checked the lower spin bar and its does not move.By that I mean it spins freely but when I shut the door, turn it on, off and open the blade hasn’t moved We had a service tech come out and he explained I could do the repair myself and save a few hundred dollars. Dummy that I am I lost the notes on what parts I should be purchasing - IIRC he did not think it costly.
I have been viewing the exploded motor diagrams for the unit but for the life of me I’m stuck.
Any ideas would be great - my wife is none too happy. UserPostedImage

The model number you posted does not look as a valid GE model number. Verify and repost it.

Gene - GSM1800J00WW - sorry 'bout that.
Its a small undercounter unit.
I just replaced the lower swing arm parts but that was obviously not the repair.

The spray arm will never spin if there is no water in the dishwasher. The problem most likely is a bad water inlet valve (#27 on the diagram).
