The unit seems to be working fine, except for a periodic LOUD buzzing sound that seems to be coming from the rear upper left side of the refrigerator compartment (standing behind the fridge and looking at the back of the unit). I can feel the vibration through the back of the unit. The sound may occur 1, 2 or 3 times a day always at different times and lasts from 1 -5 minutes. It's loud enough to wake up my wife at night.

Of course everything was quiet when the appliance repair guy was here. He said that since there are no moving parts in that area of the unit, he was at a loss to explain the problem.

I'd like to find out what the problem is, before the unit stops working and I lose all of my food.

I couldn't find your part # anywhere. However I did find part #61003234 at Whirlpool Parts Online that looks like it may be the one. What do you think?
