The old belt broke and we've just ordered a new one, but we don't know how to open the dryer to order to replace the belt. Does the top of the dryer open, or does one need to take the back off. Either way, how do we do it?

Have not seen this model in a while, so working from memory here.

You service dryers from the front.

The front should come off by taking out two screws at the bottom. This will allow you to unscrew the top and you now have access to replace the belt.

There may be a service panel in the rear to get to the pulley where the belt goes, if not you go through the front.
