Rank: Member Groups: Registered Joined: 8/21/2007(UTC) Posts: 1		We purchased and installed the new electronic clock assembly (which seemed quite simple) and when we plugged it back in the exhaust fan and light would not turn off and the buttons did not function. I believe we alligned the notches on the ribbon strip correctly...is there a simple solution that we are not thinking of. Please help...we have the oven unplugged and I really don't want to pay to have someone service it when it HAS to be a simple solution. Thanks!

As you may have seen, I had the same problem with my stove and just found out that when I put the panel back together, I pinched the control ribbon right where it goes into the panel. This tore some of the circuits apart on the ribbon. I fixed it with some conductive paint, but it was very dificult and would not recommend it. Just buy a new front panel. Glenn
