OK - I'm stumped.
I have posted before on this and since replaced recommended items, but the fan in freezer continuosly runs and refrig still gets to cold afteer 3/4 days.
It's a refrig that sat idle in the Bahamas for 5 years. I got it running by taking out the fan in freezer and cleaning it, and it seemed to run ok until I notced that after 3/4 days the fan never stopped and the refrig got down into the 20's.
Have replaced both the defrost timer and cold control thermostat as previously recommended (and pretty sure I got the control knob on the thermostat replaced in correct position).
The refrig (or at least the fan in freezer still runs all the time, except for perhaps when the defrost cycle kicks in.)
Should not the fan stop on occassion so the refrig does not get into the 20's?
I would appreciate any help as I'm headed back to the islands in a week.

How old is the refrigerator..and whats the serial number?

I would say the refrig is from around 1997-99 and these are the numbers I have:
Model - ET18NMXFW01
S/N - EG2028829
Type C18TFA97

Take a look at the control assembly. Then look at the pic in the service update I have attached. Which one looks like yours?

This is very interesting.
As I cannot look at the unit right now, I can only speak from memory, but I could swear that the spring type wire went around a metal tude, not a plastic tube when I was replacing the thermostat because I made every effort to have that wire go back into the exact same position as when I took it out.
I kept the old parts also and seem to remember that the tube was not part of the replacment thermostat (AP3108492) which I ordered from this site, and it did not come with the tube which meant I had to use what was in the back of the control panel.
Does this help?
If I read your pdf file correctly, and it was/is a metal tube - and I have already ordered a replacement themostat - do I need to ge the plastic tube, and if so, where can I get one?

Need to revise earlier post about metal tube, which apparently was a component of my replacement thermostat.
Also just noticed something else...on my invoice, I see the part number AP3108492, but it's followed by (4387562) which is the same number referenced as the "old style" on you service announcement. Hope this sheds some light on my issue.

Which style of control box do you have on that unit - the old or newer style?

It appears I have the older style, i.e. the one on the left in the image.
