Hi folks,

My Frigidaire DGSFW3 gas dryer will ignite when I first start it, finish one cycle, then the ignitor will glow, but the flame will not light again. I'm thinking it might be the gas valve coils...they click the first time, but don't click anymore. Thanks!

Pary,

Per your question on my thread:

I ended up buying a new dryer since the situation demanded a faster solution. I replaced the quartz igniter and the coils (total about $35) to no avail. The next piece was the gas valve which was upwards of $200.
The dryer was 15 years old. I have also heard that lint in the carburetor can cause this issue, although there was none in mine.

Good luck, I hope it doesn't cost too much

Just in case anybody else runs across this problem. For me, a replacement set of gas valve coils worked. I would suggest even before you purchase the coils to turn off the gas, take off the coils and work the valve stems up and down a couple times....at any rate best ~$20 fix ever!
