The light in my model GMC275PDB5 Whirlpool microwave is out. How do I get to it to replace it?

I have the same problem and I have a Tappan turnabout model #56-9431-10-07 maybe someone can help us both out.

forry, In order to access the light bulb (#26 on the break down diagram) you have to open the control panel. - The part number for the light bulb is AP2140304 Here are the break down diagrams for the Tappan microwave Model 56-9431-10-07Gene.

rfrank3974, In order to replace the light bulb (#53 on the break down diagram) in your microwave you have to remove the microwave from the cabinet. You can find the complete instructions in the Service manual (pages 2-8 & 2-9). - The part number for the light bulb is AP3136126 Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool microwave - oven combination Model GMC275PDB5Gene.
