I have a Moden Maid wall gas oven. The monitor turn on light does not come on. The inside bulb is working. The unit must be over 30 years old. I can not read the model number. Any suggestions as to the way to trouble shoot the problem? Thanks

I take it that the oven heats ok?
If the oven is that old then they probably used a
neon or small incandescent bulb. You need to
check for AC voltage at the two terminals that the
indicator lamp connects to. You can check it
with a volt meter. But if don’t know how to use –or
have one you can also use a simple test light for this.
(not the automotive type)

This type-they can be had for about 5 dollars at the hardware store.

If you get voltage (or the test light comes on) then
you need to replace the indicator light bulb itself.
