My dishwasher still cleans the dishes great but it makes an ear piercing grinding noise when running the wash cyce. Not when draining. My dad has taken the assembly apart and found a few things, cleaned it out and put it all back together. It still makes the noise. Any idea what it could be?

I cannot find any info using the given model number.
Kenmore's are usually all numerals XXX.XXXXXXXX They actually do not make anything just put a Kenmore name on it.
I am assuming that your dad checked that the impeller/motor armature rotated easily in the wash direction after it was cleaned out.
It sounds like the motor's seals/bearings are shot. This often requires the motor be replaced depending on what brand it is. |

Sorry that is what I was afraid of, I found the model number it is 665.13844K601 He did take the impeller apart and that's where he found some broken glass, cleaned it out and turned all the moving parts to be sure there was nothing else making noise. Thanks
