The oven says it gets to the set temp, but does not hold it. No error codes are showing. What can I do :confused:

911 is actually a Roper but in reality is a GE. Finding info on GE is difficult, they like to keep it a secret, so the following is just a guess that it may be close to your unit. http://appliancejunk.com/ge/cookingproduct/31-20105.pdfIf my guess is correct it could be that your broil element is shot. It looks like they use the bake for preheat and then both bake and broil during the bake cycle. Try broil to see if the element comes on. If it does not come on. Remove power from the unit. Pull the broil element. Check it with a meter Should be around 15 ohms. If OK odds are the broil relay contacts are shot and you need a new control board. )R A wire going to the broil element has burned off. |

If it glows, shut it off, turn the bake element on. If it glows, we know we have a control issue. So, if you pull the oven sensor, and ohm it out, if it were good, you would read about 1100 ohms.
