how do i get the agitator off. It is a single piece, no dog ears. I have the nut off the top but it will not budge. whats the next step. Im trying to change the lint filter.

Sometimes they REALLY get stuck on there. You really gotta yank the hell out of it. If that doesn't work you may need a puller.

You can slip a rope under the agitator and pry up with a long board, just brace the top of the washer. If no go, you can bust out the agitator with a sharp wood chisel and clean off the rust on the spindle.
