This dryer plugs in for top, but gas hooks up at the bottom. I have taken the back of the dryer off and I can see the flames so I know it is lighting. However, there is no heat getting to the tumbler. I have tried all heating cycles on the unit to no avail. I was told to take the wires from a white fuse near the bottom of the left rear side where lint is collected pull them off the unit and tape them together. I did and still extremely light heat, not enough to dry anything. I have checked the breaker in the breaker box and it is not tripped. Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like your vent is plugged somewhere along the line. If not there may be an obstruction in the tiny little pin hole that the gas comes out of on the dryer gas valve. You can clear it with a paperclip.
