Look inside the lower service panel. There should be a tech sheet that will take you through the process.

This seems like a dumb questions but how do i access the service panel? I used to use a screwdriver on the side to release the clips.

I am assuming you have the same model as the original post. If so, there are screws that hold it on. If not, post your model number and let's see what you have.

My model is ftf2140es3. I am now having trouble with the water temp and getting a proper spin cycle; water temp is to hot and cloths don't seem to have to much water in them like it won't go into high speed spin. I have no LCD pannel so I don't know what any fault coeds are.

Ok, here is the service manual which will describe the codes (you have the good model which displays codes by blinking lights)

I got the diagnostic to run every thing worked but the cold water line. I don't under stand how to read the flashing lights of the error code though.

The Service Manual will explain and interpret the codes for you. The flashing lights are error codes.
