The washer makes a very loud slamming noise at the end of the first and last spin cycle as it is stopping. It almost sounds like the motor is slamming up against the side of the washer. I don't know if the braces are all bolted at the bottom of the washer or anywhere else. If anyone can help me please do so.

It sounds like something in the brake assembly might be loose - you'd almost have to watch while the spin cycle comes to an end, and see if something is moving that shouldn't be...

Wow thats the same problem that I have with the same washing machine. mine is just over 6 years old. I took the cabinet apart and can't see anything obvious. This happens at the end of the spin cycles only. the brakes seem a little tight, but I don't think there is enough room for it to make that noise from there. Any Advice?? .......................I have now disassembled the whole thing. Nothing broken. Where could this loud noise come from?? Nothing appears broken,or even wore out. The gearbox spins both ways with no slack. the brakes look fine, when spun backwards, they relieve pressure. all three big centering springs are fine and the longer spring that goes vertical to the base is also. the tub is clean as a whistle. PLEASE HELP
